There's no place like home except Nana's

and we spent alot of our lives growing up at Nan and Grandad's!!! So when things all started 'falling apart' last year (Grandad 'flying' off the roof, Nana diagnosed with parkinsons and a few other issues) It was THE hardest decision we all had to make for them both to be placed into Aged Care. It's taken 6 months and a zillion tears but they are starting to accept that this is the best place for them and not any one of us could give them the care and looking after that they need and deserve and will need in the future. All the Staff and Nurse's are amazing and love Nan and Grandad like their own. So..... We still visit as much, if not more then before. I just wanted to show you their 'New place' June 12 June 12 June 12 The Art room, where our kids can hang out and make stuff! June 12 June 12 There is always something happening, Trips on the boat, singing and dancing, Bingo in the Eden room. Movies in the Theatre. Or they can just hang out in the Quiet room, Library or TV room and play cards and stuff.... June 12 June 12 When we go visit, we take the kids down to the outdoor area to play on the playground, look at the pretty flowers in the Gardens and get a coffee at the cafe! Lisa!! Wonderful photos again. I love that you have captured their new place - it isnt what i would have expected from an aged care facility. Glad to see it is friendly and looks inviting! I wouldnt mind going there!

Thanks Sarah, Some of their Friends haven't visited because it's a 'Nursing home'! But really, it's nothing like the old ones.
